Why I Founded Edubeta

Every meaningful journey begins with a problem that needs solving.

For me, that problem was the gap I consistently observed between education, technology, and opportunity.

As a classroom teacher, ICT instructor, and later Head of Information Technology, I spent years working closely with students, educators, and institutions. During this period, I witnessed firsthand some of the challenges facing education and business in our environment. Many schools struggled to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning. Small businesses often lacked access to the digital tools and systems needed to grow and compete effectively. At the same time, countless young people possessed enormous potential but had limited exposure to the opportunities technology could provide.

These experiences shaped my thinking and ultimately inspired the creation of Edubeta.

I founded Edubeta in 2021 with a simple but powerful vision: to leverage technology as a tool for education, innovation, growth, and impact.

The name Edubeta represents a fusion of education and technology. It reflects my belief that when technology is applied intentionally, it can transform how people learn, work, solve problems, and create opportunities.

From the beginning, my goal was never just to build websites or develop software. My goal was to create solutions that make learning more engaging, businesses more efficient, and technology more accessible to those who need it most.

Through Edubeta, we support schools, organisations, entrepreneurs, and businesses with technology solutions ranging from website development and custom software applications to digital transformation, branding, technology training, and consulting. Every project we undertake is driven by a desire to solve real problems and create meaningful value.

However, as Edubeta grew, another reality became increasingly clear to me.

The future belongs to those who understand technology, yet many children are growing up without the opportunity to learn how technology truly works. They use smartphones, apps, websites, games, and digital tools every day, but very few are taught how to create the technologies they interact with.

Having grown up with limited exposure to technology education myself, I understood the opportunities that can be missed when young people are not introduced to technology early enough.

This realisation eventually led to the birth of Kidz Tech Coding Club, one of the initiatives under the Edubeta ecosystem. Through Kidz Tech, we are helping children and teenagers develop coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, digital literacy, and other future-ready skills that can prepare them for tomorrow’s opportunities.

Today, Edubeta continues to evolve, but the mission remains the same: empowering people through technology.

Whether it is helping a school embrace digital learning, supporting a business with innovative technology solutions, or equipping children with the skills needed to thrive in a digital world, our focus is always on creating impact.

I strongly believe that technology should not be a privilege reserved for a few. It should be a tool that empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and creates opportunities for everyone.

As I look toward the future, my vision for Edubeta is to continue building solutions, creating opportunities, and contributing to the development of a generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and technology leaders across Africa and beyond.

The journey is still unfolding, and this is only the beginning.
